High Modulus mast series
Mast Series
Superior stiffness = a more direct feel and response. But High-Modulus Carbon alone is nothing without good design.
Our new High-Modulus Carbon masts exceed the bending and torsional stiffness of our Carbon Masts while reducing thickness by over 15% and, hence, drag.The section shapes have been tailored specifically for these masts to provide low drag. The laminates have been individually designed for each mast length to give optimum performance.
HM80 MAST – SURF / DW / PUMP
Prone Surf, Pump, Downwind
The HM80 favours disciplines without wind power.
The shorter chord length over the whole length of the mast provides reduced drag and increased manoeuvrability.
This means more glide, more efficient pumping, and quicker turns.
HM85 Mast - WING
All-purpose foiling with a focus on Wing Foiling
Wind-powered disciplines require edging against the wind to create forward drive. Some of this drive comes from the front wing and some comes from the mast. To efficiently provide this drive, the chord length in the submerged part of the HM85 mast is slightly longer than that of the HM80. The chord length increases near the top of the mast to maximise stiffness with no drag penalty, as this part of the mast is clear of the water once on foil.The result is a super-stiff mast for a more direct feel and response, ideal for riders of any ability.
HM105 Mast - RACE
Kite and Wing Foil Racing
Heel over and drive upwind.
The HM105 has been optimised for racing. The thickness of the submerged part of the mast is a further 1mm thinner than the HM80 and HM85 to provide maximum top-end speed. As a result, this mast is not designed for jumping, it is designed to go fast with the focus to reduce drag. Like the HM85, the chord length in the submerged region has been tailored to provide good upwind drive, while the chord length increases above the waterline to maximise stiffness.
